In earlier 1960's Winston brands was advertised in TV cartoon "The Flintstones". The manufacturer of Winston cigarettes R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company was sponsor of this cartoon during two seasons - 1960-1961. Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble have smoked Winston cigarettes in the cartoon. The sponsorship wasn't renewed for third season of TV cartoon "The Flintstones" because it became more children oriented and Winston cigarettes gave place to Welch's fruit juices that acted as new sponsors.
